Svetomir Istenič was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Omer Sever charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simone Pikalo was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Simone Pikalo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Živan Čekić was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remigij Vrančić got free with Svetomir Istenič in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Metlika MNK defense, Simone Pikalo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Živan Čekić. The Metlika MNK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Živan Čekić should have stopped the shot. After 93 minutes, Simone Pikalo made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Metlika MNK's Živan Čekić tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ig had won after a very even match.
