The long shot by Gianni Krivokapič in the 38th minute really tested Rastislav Kotroman's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Jure Hočevar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grad NK's supporters rose to their feet, but Jure Hočevar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomir Kebe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 54th minute Čatež NK were awarded a corner. Gianni Krivokapič went to the cornerflag to take it. Baldomir Kebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hajredin Rovtar in the 55th minute of the match. Renej Blazinšek charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Renej Blazinšek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 56 played minutes Čatež NK got a freekick which was hit by Renej Blazinšek. Baldomir Kebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hajredin Rovtar, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Čatež NK's Baldomir Kebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hajredin Rovtar in the 61st minute of play. Vladan Kosec kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After 65 played minutes, Čatež NK's Gianni Krivokapič shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rastislav Kotroman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Čatež NK reached it. If Jure Hočevar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hajredin Rovtar hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Viljam Šuštaršič recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute Viljam Šuštaršič shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rastislav Kotroman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladan Kosec hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Rastislav Kotroman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viljam Šuštaršič, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viljam Šuštaršič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vladan Kosec got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 81st match minute, Grad NK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladan Kosec to maneuver through the defense. Viljam Šuštaršič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 97 minutes into the match, Grad NK's goal looked a bit too open when Džan Šmit came free, but Rastislav Kotroman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
