In the 5th match minute, Dobrovnik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armido Mikiša to maneuver through the defense. Srečko Rebernik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rilind Lovrec having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferucio Dečman in the 11th minute of play forced Dobrovnik's goalkeeper Rilind Lovrec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Bujar Memagić cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Venčeslav Koban was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Grosuplje MNK getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Neven Bogomolec hit a great ball. Grosuplje MNK's Venčeslav Koban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rožle Čretnik in the 36th minute of play. Ales Matić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bujar Memagić in the 40th minute of play forced Grosuplje MNK's goalkeeper Venčeslav Koban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Dobrovnik booed when Grosuplje MNK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darjan Primar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rilind Lovrec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Srečko Rebernik in the 45th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Srečko Rebernik in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rilind Lovrec prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bujar Memagić to make the kick off. Ales Matić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Rilind Lovrec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rožle Čretnik got free with Venčeslav Koban in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rilind Lovrec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Srečko Rebernik in the 58th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bujar Memagić in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Venčeslav Koban saved Grosuplje MNK from getting behind. If Rožle Čretnik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th match minute, Grosuplje MNK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neven Bogomolec to maneuver through the defense. Grosuplje MNK's Venčeslav Koban proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Grosuplje MNK from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Grosuplje MNK's Neven Bogomolec got a free kick in the 74th minute. Rožle Čretnik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Venčeslav Koban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Rožle Čretnik kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Venčeslav Koban. That made the score 0-2 in the 81 minute of play. In the 86th minute Ales Matić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rilind Lovrec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rožle Čretnik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Venčeslav Koban made a huge save. Dobrovnik's Rilind Lovrec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Srečko Rebernik in the 89th minute of play. Srečko Rebernik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the game, Grosuplje MNK's Srečko Rebernik nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rilind Lovrec made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2.
