Natale Zmazek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vrtojba ND. Rahman Sivec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Žarko Lucu, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 9th minute, Džon Peserl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rahman Sivec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Žarko Lucu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mirijan Hočevar was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 16th minute. Benedikt MNK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 17 minutes into the match, Vrtojba ND's goal looked a bit too open when Žarko Lucu came free, but Rahman Sivec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Mato Rantaša came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Vrtojba ND fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mato Rantaša couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Mato Rantaša sped through Benedikt MNK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Natale Zmazek. Vrtojba ND's Rahman Sivec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Žolt Sivka in the 38th minute of play. Rahman Sivec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Žolt Sivka in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vrtojba ND's Konstantin Brvar got a free kick in the 44th minute. Rahman Sivec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Žarko Lucu in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frenk Kamšek made a kick off. Vrtojba ND's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aldin Kranjc in the 54th minute. When Mato Rantaša came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Vrtojba ND fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mato Rantaša couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd minute, Frenk Kamšek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Vrtojba ND's zone, Žarko Lucu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rahman Sivec came out of the goal and Žarko Lucu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rahman Sivec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bine Krulc in the 65th minute of the match. Bujar Tofant was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 68th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Rahman Sivec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bine Krulc, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Benedikt MNK's Žarko Lucu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rahman Sivec narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Benedikt MNK's goal looked a bit too open when Frenk Kamšek came free, but Natale Zmazek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mirijan Hočevar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Rahman Sivec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bine Krulc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute Žarko Lucu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rahman Sivec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rahman Sivec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Žarko Lucu in the 94th minute of the match.
