Armido Kapun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Etien Dvornik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Job Tihel hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute of the match Jano Å truc shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Petrit Žgalin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nebojša Šorli in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Etien Dvornik saved Žiri from getting behind. Nebojša Šorli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Etien Dvornik having to interfere. Nebojša Šorli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Etien Dvornik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Izola MNK's Nebojša Šorli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Etien Dvornik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 33rd match minute, Izola MNK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mik Bilič to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Dimitrij LipovÅ¡ek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petrit Žgalin was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Izola MNK's Petrit Žgalin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Izola MNK from getting a goal against them. 47 minutes into the match, Žiri's Riko Pohlin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Petrit Žgalin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Riko Pohlin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Petrit Žgalin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petrit Žgalin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitrij LipovÅ¡ek, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Nebojša Šorli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Riko Pohlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tit Svast during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Armido Kapun's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Etien Dvornik firmly grabbed it by the left post. 76 minutes into the game, Žiri's Dimitrij LipovÅ¡ek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Petrit Žgalin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Riko Pohlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petrit Žgalin having to interfere. A collision led to Izola MNK getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Job Tihel hit a great ball. In the 89th minute of the match Guido Ritlop shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Petrit Žgalin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute Dimitrij LipovÅ¡ek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petrit Žgalin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Izola MNK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Žiri.
