Stanislav KolÅ¡ek made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Armido Kapun sent off a good shot on target. One of Izola MNK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sodražica ND:s goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Animo Mlakar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adolf Lebar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petrit Žgalin having to make a save. After 57 played minutes Izola MNK got a freekick which was hit by Job Tihel. If Adolf Lebar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. Sodražica ND's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
