Franjo Arzenšek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julijan Vučak, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After having played for 18 minutes, Julijan Vučak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mislinja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julijan Vučak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kvirin Židan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franjo Arzenšek having to interfere. Zagorje's Franjo Arzenšek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Zagorje from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bor Podobnik in the 30th minute of play forced Mislinja's goalkeeper Klement Šorli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kvirin Židan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 41 minutes, Danilo Lampret mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mislinja and the Zagorje players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mislinja getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Danilo Lampret hit a great ball. Julijan Vučak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Franjo Arzenšek having to make a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bor Podobnik to make the kick off. Mislinja's Klement Šorli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bor Podobnik in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Valdi Ježek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zagorje's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mislinja the free kick. Valdi Ježek kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Mislinja's Klement Šorli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Mislinja from getting a goal against them. Franjo Arzenšek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julijan Vučak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Velko Bauer sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mislinja's Klement Šorli didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kvirin Židan in the 77th minute of play forced Zagorje's goalkeeper Franjo Arzenšek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute Julijan Vučak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franjo Arzenšek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Želko Brezovec came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Mislinja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Želko Brezovec couldn't finish the play. Mislinja's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
