Otmar Skalar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vane Poteko, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 12th match minute, Radgona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beno Smiljanić to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 14 minutes, Vane Poteko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tabor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vane Poteko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Albin Kolar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Otmar Skalar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albin Kolar's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Otmar Skalar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vane Poteko in the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Albin Kolar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Otmar Skalar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Davorin Lopert during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Davorin Lopert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Davorin Lopert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ante Tepe having to interfere. In the 39th minute Jozo Rot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ante Tepe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Tabor's goalkeeper Ante Tepe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergij Zor. 42 minutes into the game, Jozo Rot recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ante Tepe. Jozo Rot showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. If Davorin Lopert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jozo Rot made a kick off. In the 53rd play minute Albin Kolar came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Otmar Skalar. 2-2. The supporters of Radgona booed when Tabor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toma Cepec didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ante Tepe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jozo Rot in the 67th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Radgona's zone, Vane Poteko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Otmar Skalar came out of the goal and Vane Poteko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davorin Lopert in the 79th minute of play forced Tabor's goalkeeper Ante Tepe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luban Obolnar kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Jozo Rot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albin Kolar in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Otmar Skalar, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Žolt Emeršič received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Otmar Skalar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
