In the 5th minute, Sveta Ana's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Krištof Ovsenek fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Bistrica ob Sotli getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Jadran Lukič hit a great ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Januš Prosenik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sveta Ana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Januš Prosenik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Januš Prosenik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Kuster having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sveta Ana fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! Jelenko Bizaj had in the 18thth minute some difficulties stopping Mitar Hoenn's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Bistrica ob Sotli's Mitar Hoenn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jelenko Bizaj made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The supporters of Bistrica ob Sotli booed when Sveta Ana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grozdan Klopčar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bistrica ob Sotli's Mitar Hoenn shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 22nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jelenko Bizaj but with some difficulty. Jelenko Bizaj made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Krištof Ovsenek sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Sveta Ana's zone, Krištof Ovsenek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jelenko Bizaj came out of the goal and Krištof Ovsenek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marko Kovač's late challenge caught a Bistrica ob Sotli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marko Kovač helped the player get up and apologised. After 30 played minutes Sveta Ana got a freekick which was hit by Marko Kovač. Krištof Ovsenek's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Jelenko Bizaj skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Stane Vidmar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jelenko Bizaj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Januš Prosenik during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th minute, Januš Prosenik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samo Bolf got his second yellow card in the match during the 38th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 39 played minutes Sveta Ana got a freekick which was hit by Samo Bolf. Nevio Frankovič didn't quite understand what happened when in the 41 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 45th minute, Krištof Ovsenek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jelenko Bizaj was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
If Krištof Ovsenek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jelenko Bizaj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krištof Ovsenek in the 59th minute of play. When Marko Kovač was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 60 minutes had been played. In the 61st minute, Marko Kovač hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Krištof Ovsenek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amin Šlaher's late challenge caught a Sveta Ana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amin Šlaher helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sveta Ana booed when Bistrica ob Sotli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amin Šlaher didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jelenko Bizaj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stane Vidmar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bistrica ob Sotli had won after a very even match.
