Simon Mohorčič could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Mirko Fašun made a huge save. Miodrag Kureš received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Mirko Fašun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alojzije Titovšek charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alojzije Titovšek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Simon Mohorčič was extremely unlucky when he, in the 19th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Stanko Žak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bistrica ob Sotli. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Simon Mohorčič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. With a little luck, sveti vrh's Stanko Žak got control of the ball when Nick Centa tried to sneak it across the goal line.
