Sreta Gorše made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muharem Košar in the 3rd minute of play. Bayer Leverkusen's Sreta Gorše played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konrad Pavlovič in the 7th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Konrad Pavlovič left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NK Ciganski Kralji fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Bayer Leverkusen's Sreta Gorše played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konrad Pavlovič in the 23rd minute of play. Sreta Gorše showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konrad Pavlovič, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Eldin Kuzele was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 27 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Žak Berger in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sreta Gorše prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Žak Berger sped through Bayer Leverkusen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sreta Gorše. In the 40th minute, Naim Stanišič fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Leo Ljubec, passed just outside the right post. After having played for 44 minutes, Atilij Lukman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NK Ciganski Kralji's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atilij Lukman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sandi Kundih had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half NK Ciganski Kralji were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Naim Stanišič to make the kick off. Leo Ljubec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naim Stanišič in the 53rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Bayer Leverkusen's zone, Sandi Kundih stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sreta Gorše came out of the goal and Sandi Kundih tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by NK Ciganski Kralji's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Naim Stanišič was slow to take the kick. During this time Bayer Leverkusen's players had a chance to rest. 60 minutes into the game, Atilij Lukman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NK Ciganski Kralji's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bayer Leverkusen the free kick. The supporters of Bayer Leverkusen booed when NK Ciganski Kralji was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atilij Lukman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Žak Berger scored 0-4 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sreta Gorše, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Konrad Pavlovič received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sreta Gorše came out and tried to block the shot, but Konrad Pavlovič slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 73rd minute. Konrad Pavlovič scored 0-6 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sreta Gorše, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Sandi Kundih managed to get in a good position for a shot. NK Ciganski Kralji's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandi Kundih was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sreta Gorše breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leo Ljubec came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Bayer Leverkusen's Naim Stanišič. But to his dismay, Naim Stanišič quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. NK Ciganski Kralji's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
