An unexpectedly hard shot by Ordančo Virant in the 23rd minute of play forced FC Koper's goalkeeper Cveto Novinec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Minas Markomichalis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vasilije Kač was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Cveto Novinec didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ordančo Virant went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 69th minute, Šaban Vengust ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cveto Novinec was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After a rather tough play, nk.topničarji's Ordančo Virant got a free kick in the 71st minute. Cveto Novinec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ordančo Virant in the 77th minute of play. Cveto Novinec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ordančo Virant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, nk.topničarji's Ivo Vitez got a free kick in the 78th minute. FC Koper's Minas Markomichalis came free and shot a quick shot against goal 96 minutes in the game, fortunately Vasilije Kač had problems saving as it came toward the left post.
