The audience was convinced that Esbjörn Lindkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Göran Gunnarsson was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Göran Gunnarsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Anthon Hääger fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bajen Fans's protests and gave Anthon Hääger a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bajen Fans getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Anthon Hääger hit a great ball. Esbjörn Lindkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When BK Häcken's Esbjörn Lindkvist in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The BK Häcken fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when BK Häcken's Esbjörn Lindkvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 38 minutes, Lennart Kämpe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BK Häcken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lennart Kämpe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the game, BK Häcken's Esbjörn Lindkvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Göran Gunnarsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Esbjörn Lindkvist was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, BK Häcken's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Åberg came free, but Güntekin Zişan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Esbjörn Lindkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Göran Gunnarsson was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. After having played for 57 minutes, Esbjörn Lindkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. If Tim Kellbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 67th minute, Kurt Åberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tim Kellbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anthon Hääger kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Göran Gunnarsson was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Esbjörn Lindkvist capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Esbjörn Lindkvist really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Patrik Aronsson hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Güntekin Zişan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Åberg in the 82nd minute of play. Göran Gunnarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esbjörn Lindkvist in the 90th minute of the match. Lennart Kämpe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lennart Kämpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Gunnarsson having to interfere. When the match was over BK Häcken could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bajen Fans throughout the match.
