Fiorentina's Uno Lidman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Albom in the 5th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Ove Olsmann put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Uno Lidman. Ove Olsmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Uno Lidman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ove Olsmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uno Lidman having to interfere. A collision led to Fiorentina getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Tobias Forsberg hit a great ball. Uno Lidman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ove Olsmann's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Carl Albom might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Uno Lidman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carl Albom ran back to his position shaking his head. Tobias Forsberg hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the game, Ove Olsmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Uno Lidman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Uno Lidman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ove Olsmann in the 30th minute of the match. After 31 minutes, Magnus Stenström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fiorentina and the NYGÅRD IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st match minute, Fiorentina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magnus Stenström to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ove Olsmann in the 35th minute of play forced Fiorentina's goalkeeper Uno Lidman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ove Olsmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Fiorentina's Victor Johnsson got a free kick in the 39th minute. 44 minutes into the match, Carl Albom had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Uno Lidman. Fiorentina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carl Albom was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After the first half NYGÅRD IF were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ove Olsmann made the kick off in the second half. Uno Lidman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carl Albom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute of the match NYGÅRD IF got a corner. Fiorentina's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mattias Lindholm ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led NYGÅRD IF's Mattias Lindholm to fire away a dangerous shot which Uno Lidman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Uno Lidman was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Carl Albom capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carl Albom really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Fiorentina's zone, Ove Olsmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uno Lidman came out of the goal and Ove Olsmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. NYGÅRD IF's Sven-Oskar Colin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magnus Stenström in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th match minute, NYGÅRD IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sivert Fredriksson to maneuver through the defense. The NYGÅRD IF fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when NYGÅRD IF's Carl Albom looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 73rd minute, Magnus Stenström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ove Olsmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Carl Albom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee ignored Fiorentina's protests and gave Tobias Forsberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 98 played minutes Fiorentina got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Forsberg. NYGÅRD IF's Mattias Lindholm got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. NYGÅRD IF played a much better game than Fiorentina and deserved their victory. The Fiorentina players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
