Ted Hagström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 郭浩斐 in the 14th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Geovânio Saldanha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ted Hagström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Stig-Åke Utfal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konrad Wennerlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Sköllersta getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Börge Bohlin hit a great ball. Åtvidabergs FF's Stig-Åke Utfal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svante Wiman in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half Åtvidabergs FF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 郭浩斐 was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Edvard Gustavsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sköllersta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. A collision led to Sköllersta getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Tomas Odén hit a great ball. With a little luck, Sköllersta's Ted Hagström got control of the ball when 郭浩斐 tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Svante Wiman in the 69th minute of play forced Åtvidabergs FF's goalkeeper Stig-Åke Utfal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sköllersta getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Frank Ekenberg hit a great ball. Michel Bergqvist got a throw-in 79 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Harry Ros. Frank Ekenberg made in the 81st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Christer Valler immediately put the ball in play. After having played for 87 minutes, Sören Fristedt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åtvidabergs FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sören Fristedt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sköllersta succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Åtvidabergs FF had controlled the match.
