Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hernan Ovando kicked off to start the match. Genarp's Björn Pilberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torbjörn Hultin in the 4th minute of play. Björn Pilberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Lundström, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Ludwig Löfskog struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Åke Deckbergh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Genarp. In the 8th minute Robin Lundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Pilberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oskar Ljungberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Björn Pilberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Robin Lundström took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Björn Pilberg. Björn Pilberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Genarp's Björn Pilberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin Lundström in the 21st minute of play. Hernan Ovandos short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Åke Deckbergh to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Björn Pilberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Lundström in the 35th minute of play. Björn Pilberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin Lundström in the 37th minute of the match. Genarp's Stellan Lindström got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 40 played minutes, Vimmerby IF's Jonas Lidberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Björn Pilberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vimmerby IF reached it. 45 minutes into the match, Hernan Ovando had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Åke Deckbergh. Vimmerby IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hernan Ovando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Ivar Backlund came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Genarp fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivar Backlund couldn't finish the play. If Hernan Ovando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Björn Pilberg made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Robin Lundström sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hernan Ovando in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Åke Deckbergh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Vimmerby IF defense, Joacim Termander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Åke Deckbergh. The Vimmerby IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Åke Deckbergh should have stopped the shot. Åke Deckbergh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernan Ovando's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. When Genarp's Hernan Ovando in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vimmerby IF's goalie prevented a goal. Åke Deckbergh came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Genarp's Joacim Termander. But to his dismay, Joacim Termander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. 78 minutes into the match, Genarp's goalkeeper Björn Pilberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robin Lundström. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Genarp fully deserved thier win.
