Örjan Eklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Foro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute Isac Blomquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Örjan Eklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isac Blomquist's late challenge caught a Dals Rostock RK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isac Blomquist helped the player get up and apologised. Isac Blomquist hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Stig-Ove Karlsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Örjan Eklund. Dals Rostock RK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stig-Ove Karlsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Ove Karlsson in the 22nd minute of play forced Dals Rostock RK's goalkeeper Örjan Eklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stig-Ove Karlsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 minutes, Östen Skröder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Firas Goa Gubbar and the Dals Rostock RK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Dals Rostock RK booed when Firas Goa Gubbar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Östen Skröder didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Firas Goa Gubbar's Markku Kangaskorpi got control of the ball when Ernst Petersson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Firas Goa Gubbar's goalkeeper Markku Kangaskorpi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 35 played minutes Firas Goa Gubbar got a freekick which was hit by Östen Skröder. Firas Goa Gubbar's Isac Blomquist got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Firas Goa Gubbar getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Mats Kellbom hit a great ball. Ernst Petersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Firas Goa Gubbar defense, Ernst Petersson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Markku Kangaskorpi. The Firas Goa Gubbar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Markku Kangaskorpi should have stopped the shot. Dals Rostock RK's Örjan Eklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Ove Karlsson in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Foro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dals Rostock RK's Örjan Eklund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Dals Rostock RK from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Östen Skröder got free with Örjan Eklund in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stig-Ove Karlsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Örjan Eklund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. With his leg Örjan Eklund managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Firas Goa Gubbar's Juan Foro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Örjan Eklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Ove Karlsson in the 62nd minute of play. Juan Foro struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Örjan Eklund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Firas Goa Gubbar. Markku Kangaskorpi came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Dals Rostock RK's Ernst Petersson. But to his dismay, Ernst Petersson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Juan Foro might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Örjan Eklund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Foro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 74th minute, Firas Goa Gubbar's Stig-Ove Karlsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Stig-Ove Karlsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Örjan Eklund having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Harry Ekelund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Örjan Eklund made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Juan Foro sent off a good shot on target. If Juan Foro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernst Petersson in the 96th minute of play forced Firas Goa Gubbar's goalkeeper Markku Kangaskorpi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Firas Goa Gubbar were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
