The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michel Blomqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Võsomägi in the 31st minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, George Arvidsson notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC Rosengård's Ronny Gernberg. Ronny Gernberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to FC Rosengård getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Jörn Pilblad hit a great ball. After 44 played minutes, Österfärnebo IF's Ted Ström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ronny Gernberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Österfärnebo IF reached it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when George Arvidsson made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Österfärnebo IF's George Arvidsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronny Gernberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ronny Gernberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The FC Rosengård fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Österfärnebo IF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
