After 4 played minutes Älvdalen FF got a freekick which was hit by Georg Pilberg. George Låsberg, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When 俞城响, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 7 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Marcus Lövkvist was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. A collision led to Älvdalen FF getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Lennart Elg hit a great ball. The supporters of Real Malmö booed when Älvdalen FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Browald didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tião Fontes came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Älvdalen FF's Comunardo Del Giudice. But to his dismay, Comunardo Del Giudice quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Real Malmö defense, Comunardo Del Giudice kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tião Fontes. The Real Malmö fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tião Fontes should have stopped the shot. 俞城响 took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcus Lövkvist. Marcus Lövkvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 俞城响 did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Marcus Lövkvist 36 minutes into the match. Tião Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Comunardo Del Giudice, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute, Ingmar Häll hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 俞城响 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A hard, long distance shot from Hampus Larsson flew over the goal. Comunardo Del Giudice kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Sören Mårtensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Marcus Lövkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Älvdalen FF's Marcus Lövkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 俞城响 in the 59th minute of play. Tião Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig Lange in the 61st minute of the match. In the 66th minute Sören Mårtensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Lövkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, Real Malmö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Låsberg to maneuver through the defense. Marcus Lövkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sören Mårtensson in the 78th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Real Malmö's George Låsberg got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Älvdalen FF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
