The audience thought a goal was coming when Pablo Luis got free with Patrick Fågel in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Ekaryd Aik defense, Calle Caspersson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kalle Busk. The Ekaryd Aik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kalle Busk should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calle Caspersson during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ekaryd Aik booed when Högland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calle Caspersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicklas Josefsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patrick Fågel. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, Ekaryd Aik's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Skager came free, but Kalle Busk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kaj Josefsson was the one to do the kick off. Patrick Fågel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pablo Luis in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrick Fågel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 63rd minute, Viktor Askestät made a precise shot to the right of Patrick Fågel. Högland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Calle Caspersson kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. If Pablo Luis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Högland's zone, Diego Brandao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Fågel came out of the goal and Diego Brandao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Högland's Patrick Fågel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Askestät in the 74th minute of play. Patrick Fågel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Luis in the 79th minute of the match. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 94th minute, one of Högland:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Högland. In the 97th minute there was a penalty for Ekaryd Aik. Pablo Luis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Patrick Fågel. 5-1. When the referee ended the match the Ekaryd Aik players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
