The supporters of HNICs GuldGossar booed when Assyriska was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Ove Vennerkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Edward Caspersson managed to get in a good position for a shot. HNICs GuldGossar's supporters rose to their feet, but Edward Caspersson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennis Lundgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kurt Mellin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Holmgren having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nurtekin Tublek in the 17th minute of play forced HNICs GuldGossar's goalkeeper Gustaf Holmgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Dalström in the 18th minute of play forced Assyriska's goalkeeper Dennis Lundgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Oskar Söderström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dennis Lundgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ted Dalström, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Dennis Lundgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Oskar Söderström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frans Ström got free with Gustaf Holmgren in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. HNICs GuldGossar's Gustaf Holmgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frans Ström in the 45th minute of play. Assyriska's Dennis Lundgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uno Norberg in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven-Oskar Söderström made a kick off. Jerry Damm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Dennis Lundgren made a huge save. Frans Ström took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustaf Holmgren. Gustaf Holmgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Dennis Lundgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jerry Damm in the 59th minute. 63 minutes into the match, HNICs GuldGossar's goal looked a bit too open when 倪坚榕 came free, but Gustaf Holmgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nurtekin Tublek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. If Nurtekin Tublek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 played minutes Assyriska got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Månsson. After recieving a nice pass, HNICs GuldGossar's Edward Caspersson tried to score from far away in the 87th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ted Dalström struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Dennis Lundgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HNICs GuldGossar. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Dennis Lundgren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jerry Damm's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dennis Lundgren firmly grabbed it by the left post.
