Gottfrid Lennartsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Niclas Bivall stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roger Samuelsson's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 27th minute, Roger Samuelsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niclas Bivall was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Niclas Bivall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Samuelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. When Björneborg's Roger Samuelsson in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lessebo's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Samuelsson in the 41st minute of play forced Lessebo's goalkeeper Niclas Bivall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sune Fristedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Roger Samuelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roger Samuelsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stig-Ove Björk kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Niclas Bivall made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gottfrid Lundin in the 57th minute. Lessebo's Niclas Bivall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Lessebo from getting a goal against them. 71 minutes into the match, Lessebo's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Samuelsson came free, but Niclas Bivall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Pelle Siggesson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gottfrid Låsberg was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Roger Samuelsson hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, Lessebo's Pelle Siggesson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gottfrid Låsberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Niclas Bivall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Samuelsson in the 93rd minute of play. Björneborg were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
