Patric Alegren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Oskar Abrahamsson went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 15 minutes into the match, Mellösa BF's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt Västlund came free, but Patric Alegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Magnus Billvall didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedrão Ribeiro went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Patric Alegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Oskar Abrahamsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Fritz Danielsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Patric Alegren. Mellösa BF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Patric Alegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt Västlund in the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven Billström made a kick off. When the match had been going on for 54 minutes, Närke AIK's Fritz Danielsson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Patric Alegren. Eugenio Verdes took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Magnus Billvall. Magnus Billvall dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. In the 62nd minute, Bengt Västlund made a precise shot to the right of Patric Alegren. Mellösa BF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Eugenio Verdes scored 4-3 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Magnus Billvall, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eugenio Verdes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugenio Verdes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magnus Billvall having to interfere. Bengt Västlund's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Patric Alegren skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Patric Alegren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bengt Västlund in the 88th minute. After 89 played minutes Närke AIK got a freekick which was hit by Fritz Danielsson. Magnus Billvall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Verdes in the 95th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Eugenio Verdes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mellösa BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugenio Verdes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Magnus Billvall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
