Georg Holmberg kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Dan Waller's late challenge caught a Falun IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dan Waller helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Furusund getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Dan Waller hit a great ball. Jens-Ove Lindqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roger Skog in the 15th minute. In the 18th minute, Marciano Fortun reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jens-Ove Lindqvist. The goal made the score 1-0. Nils Stabbe kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Klas Hedlund didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Per-Erik Gustafsson went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Furusund's Isac Åkesson got a free kick in the 27th minute. After 28 played minutes, Falun IF's Marciano Fortun shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jens-Ove Lindqvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Falun IF reached it. Klas Hedlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Erik Gustafsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Åke Benett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ove Lindqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Furusund's goal looked a bit too open when Åke Benett came free, but Jens-Ove Lindqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes Furusund got a freekick which was hit by Jack Fransson. With a little luck, Furusund's Jens-Ove Lindqvist got control of the ball when Åke Benett tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Falun IF's zone, Samuel Söderström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Klas Hedlund came out of the goal and Samuel Söderström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Åke Benett to make the kick off. Åke Benett scored 4-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jens-Ove Lindqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 60 minutes into the game, Falun IF's Roger Skog nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jens-Ove Lindqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Åke Benett scored 6-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jens-Ove Lindqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 71st minute Roger Skog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ove Lindqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Furusund's Jens-Ove Lindqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Fortun in the 73rd minute of play. Jens-Ove Lindqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roger Skog went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. Dennis Ahlgren was extremely unlucky when he, in the 81st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 84th minute, Dennis Ahlgren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Furusund fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-2. In the 87th match minute, Falun IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils Stabbe to maneuver through the defense. Klas Hedlund acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 88th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sebastian Lindholm. In the 90th minute, Manfred Lundgren made a precise shot to the right of Jens-Ove Lindqvist. Furusund's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-2. 94 minutes in the game Georg Holmberg did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Vilgot Hermansson. Furusund's Jens-Ove Lindqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfred Lundgren in the 95th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Falun IF fully deserved thier win.
