Claes Nykvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Håkan Olsman fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tottenham Hotspurs's protests and gave Håkan Olsman a yellow card for diving instead. Håkan Olsman hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Joachim Johansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Raschke having to interfere. After 9 played minutes Bremers IF got a freekick which was hit by Valdemar Flink. After a rather tough play, Tottenham Hotspurs's Håkan Olsman got a free kick in the 10th minute. Thor Bokelund hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 32ndth minute of the game Joachim Johansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tottenham Hotspurs's Fabian Raschke was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adam Bure's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ulf Sjöö firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 40th match minute, Tottenham Hotspurs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hjalmar Hylander to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joachim Johansson in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabian Raschke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabian Raschke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Bremers IF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Fabian Raschke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joachim Johansson in the 53rd minute. After some careless play in the Bremers IF defense, Adam Bure kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulf Sjöö. The Bremers IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulf Sjöö should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Tottenham Hotspurs's Jan Pettersson got a free kick in the 61st minute. Fabian Raschke was a little too slow when Joachim Johansson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 1-2. If Joachim Johansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, one of Tottenham Hotspurs:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tottenham Hotspurs. In the 81st minute there was a penalty for Bremers IF. Claes Nykvist stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fabian Raschke. 1-3. Joachim Johansson struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Fabian Raschke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bremers IF. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adam Bure in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulf Sjöö saved Bremers IF from getting behind. Ulf Sjöö didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adam Bure went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score.
