After 3 played minutes Sörbygden FF got a freekick which was hit by Rasmus Eriksson. In the 5th minute Kjell Bengtsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Alebom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Ingvar Alebäck reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonatan Alebom. The goal made the score 1-0. Håkan Arhenius hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Ove Haraldsson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sörbygden FF's Jonatan Alebom didn't even have to move. Sörbygden FF's Jonatan Alebom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Alebäck in the 15th minute of play. Fred Sjö breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the match, Sörbygden FF's goalkeeper Jonatan Alebom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ingvar Alebäck. Torsten Holmstedt hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. If Ove Haraldsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ove Haraldsson was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Ove Haraldsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Alebom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peder Lindberg made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ölhaket's Nils Brummer. Jonatan Alebom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Haraldsson in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sörbygden FF's Sven-Olof Arenstedt got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute Ingvar Alebäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Alebom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven-Olof Arenstedt during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Per-Åke Lundgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fred Sjö made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Miromir Motyl sent off a good shot on target. Sörbygden FF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jens-Ove Nyström in the 75th minute. The free kick resulted in a very good chance to score when Rasmus Eriksson kicked a really tricky shot on goal. Fred Sjö never had to step in, however, because the ball went just left of the goal. Jonatan Alebom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell Bengtsson in the 78th minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Sörbygden FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Åke Lundgren to maneuver through the defense. Ingvar Alebäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Per-Åke Lundgren charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Per-Åke Lundgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 85 played minutes Sörbygden FF got a freekick which was hit by Per-Åke Lundgren. 88 minutes into the match, Sörbygden FF's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Alebäck came free, but Jonatan Alebom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonatan Alebom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Haraldsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Jonatan Alebom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Haraldsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute Ingvar Alebäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Alebom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th match minute, Sörbygden FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Åke Lundgren to maneuver through the defense. Ölhaket's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
