With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kjell Bure prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ted Wallmark who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Kjell Bure when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rydöbruk's Edward Hafström got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ted Wallmark in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kjell Bure, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rydöbruk's Ted Wallmark got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Johnsson in the 41st minute of play forced Rydöbruk's goalkeeper Daniel Näver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Näver made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Johnsson in the 42nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rydöbruk's zone, Tor Bergqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Näver came out of the goal and Tor Bergqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Otto Johnsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edward Hafström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjell Bure having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kjell Bure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ted Wallmark in the 73rd minute of the match. If Ted Wallmark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Knut Thedin struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Kjell Bure didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rydöbruk. If Ted Wallmark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Otto Johnsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Daniel Näver. Otto Johnsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Johnsson in the 94th minute of play forced Rydöbruk's goalkeeper Daniel Näver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tor Bergqvist hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The Rydöbruk manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing FC Thunderhawk to win.
