Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Harads's Valter Linqvist started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jimmy Gerdberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 10 played minutes, GAIS's Börje Lundin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kenny Wenerdahl came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GAIS reached it. A hard shot by Patrik Björklund from long distance, 18 minutes into the match, got Sten Salqvist's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, GAIS's Pelle Jonasson got a free kick in the 21st minute. Niklas Hellkvist took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sten Salqvist. Sten Salqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, Niklas Hellkvist notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of GAIS's Sten Salqvist. Sten Salqvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Niklas Hellkvist was extremely unlucky when he, in the 34th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. GAIS's Sten Salqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valter Linqvist in the 36th minute of play. With 36 minutes on the clock, Alfred Odén commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for GAIS! In the 39th minute there was a penalty for Harads. Johan Kilström stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sten Salqvist. 3-0. Sten Salqvist acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 48th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Patrik Björklund.

The wind increased when Jimmy Gerdberg made the kick off in the second half. If Jimmy Gerdberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt-Arne Bolander's late challenge caught a GAIS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bengt-Arne Bolander helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Harads getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Valter Linqvist hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Harads's goalkeeper Kenny Wenerdahl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jimmy Gerdberg. Kenny Wenerdahl came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by GAIS's Pelle Jonasson. But to his dismay, Pelle Jonasson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Sten Salqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niklas Hellkvist in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute Valter Linqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Salqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Harads getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Johan Kilström hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, GAIS's Lukas Mogren got a free kick in the 86th minute. 88 minutes into the game, Valter Linqvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Harads's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GAIS the free kick. The supporters of GAIS booed when Harads was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valter Linqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball.
