Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sune Wiman started the match with the kick off. Sten Salqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rutger Ekeroth went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, GAIS's Oskar Willig got a free kick in the 6th minute. 7 minutes into the match, GAIS's goal looked a bit too open when Tage Nordal came free, but Sten Salqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jimmy Gerdberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sune Wiman took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ingemar Nordström. Ingemar Nordström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Sten Salqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigvard Hellqvist in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Rutger Ekeroth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Salqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tage Nordal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sune Wiman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ingemar Nordström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match Börje Lundin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ingemar Nordström skillfully saved the ball. Sune Wiman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 46 minutes of play, Queen Park Junior Rangers's Tage Nordal made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sten Salqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there!

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tage Nordal made a kick off. When Sune Wiman came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the GAIS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sune Wiman couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the match, Queen Park Junior Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmy Gerdberg came free, but Ingemar Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marc Bergman's late challenge caught a GAIS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marc Bergman helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Sune Wiman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ingemar Nordström was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Sigvard Hellqvist took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sten Salqvist. Sten Salqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Jimmy Gerdberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingemar Nordström having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Sigvard Hellqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Salqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ingemar Nordström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sune Wiman's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. After 93 played minutes, GAIS's Börje Lundin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ingemar Nordström came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GAIS reached it. Ingemar Nordström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sune Wiman in the 95th minute of the match. The Queen Park Junior Rangers supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Queen Park Junior Rangers would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
