Dirk Jan van der Vaart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Martxel in the 4th minute of play. Stefan Kvarnström hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Lorenzo Martxel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the game, Peter Lönn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tyringe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Gunners the free kick. Peter Lönn kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Dirk Jan van der Vaart stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Freddie Petersson's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Sonny Täman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Tyringe booed when The Gunners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulfert Zypries didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freddie Petersson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dirk Jan van der Vaart having to make a save. If Francis Le Bigot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Gunners's Sonny Täman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save The Gunners from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Lönn in the 32nd minute of play forced The Gunners's goalkeeper Sonny Täman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Freddie Petersson in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dirk Jan van der Vaart prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Freddie Petersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
Francis Le Bigot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Dirk Jan van der Vaart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brian Carlsson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. The Gunners's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of The Gunners booed when Tyringe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Kjellkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lorenzo Martxel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dirk Jan van der Vaart read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Francis Le Bigot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Gunners's Sonny Täman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Kjellkvist in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to Tyringe getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Pål Hult hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Tyringe's Tomas Kjellkvist got a free kick in the 71st minute. The supporters of The Gunners booed when Tyringe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Kvarnström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freddie Peterssons short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Dirk Jan van der Vaart to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Lorenzo Martxel managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Gunners's supporters rose to their feet, but Lorenzo Martxel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dirk Jan van der Vaart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Gunners's Erik Bock was substituted for Freddie Petersson. In the 93rd match minute, Tyringe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Lundgren to maneuver through the defense. Ulfert Zypries missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 95 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Dirk Jan van der Vaart right hand side. Elias Samuelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Jan van der Vaart having to interfere. The Gunners's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
