Niclas Hellsing kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Birger Mogren got free with Johnny Olsson in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sibbhult IK's goalkeeper Egon Pihlblad, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Birger Mogren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Johnny Olsson made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristoffer Örn in the 19th minute of play forced Blueskattens IF's goalkeeper Johnny Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sibbhult IK's Leonard Rudberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Johnny Olsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 23rd minute, Sibbhult IK's Lucas Engström dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Niclas Hellsing kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Birger Mogren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Johnny Olsson made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Engström in the 30th minute of play forced Blueskattens IF's goalkeeper Johnny Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Sibbhult IK defense, Jerry Arvidsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Egon Pihlblad. The Sibbhult IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Egon Pihlblad should have stopped the shot. Johnny Olsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristoffer Örn in the 40th minute of the match. If Jerry Arvidsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jerry Arvidsson was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Sibbhult IK's Jens-Ove Hedin got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Niclas Hellsing charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Niclas Hellsing the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 56 minutes into the match, Sibbhult IK's goal looked a bit too open when Tage Alebom came free, but Egon Pihlblad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johnny Olsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristoffer Örn in the 58th minute of the match. Niclas Hellsing hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 62 played minutes Blueskattens IF got a freekick which was hit by Adem Al Gareb. 71 minutes into the match, Sibbhult IK's goal looked a bit too open when Jerry Arvidsson came free, but Egon Pihlblad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolf Zachrisson kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Jerry Arvidsson sped through Sibbhult IK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Egon Pihlblad. After 82 minutes of play, Blueskattens IF's Rolf Zachrisson made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egon Pihlblad was left in no man's land by his defense there! 91 minutes into the game, Mikael Wall was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blueskattens IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sibbhult IK the free kick.
