The supporters of Drängarna booed when Säffle IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Persson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erik Rosendal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Paul Möllgren made a huge save. 44 minutes into the match, Säffle IK's goalkeeper Paul Möllgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joakim Mattsson. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Valter Waller was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paul Möllgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drängarna. In the 90th minute, Kjell Sjögren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute, Allan Andersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paul Möllgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joakim Mattsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Drängarna were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
