The audience thought a goal was coming when Karl Lövskog got free with Karl Blom in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eric Blomquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Sellberg in the 38th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Åke Grönberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Linköping FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After the first half Linköping FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Alfred Jansson might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl Blom. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfred Jansson ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Kurd FC's Alfred Jansson got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 88th match minute, Kurd FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birger Runberg to maneuver through the defense.
