The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Man United's Arne Ugla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Man United from getting a goal against them. Leif Helström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Arne Ugla made a huge save. Nils-Erik Pilblad scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andreas Åhlberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tarhun Kutuner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Andreas Åhlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tarhun Kutuner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Åhlberg having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Norra Sandby FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolf Ek to maneuver through the defense. Tarhun Kutuner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Åhlberg having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Norra Sandby FF's Arne Ugla threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Filip Grelsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 33 minutes, Tarhun Kutuner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Man United and the Norra Sandby FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes Man United got a freekick which was hit by Tarhun Kutuner. The corner led Man United's Robin Fagerberg to fire away a dangerous shot which Andreas Åhlberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 41st minute, Göran Anselius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute, Tarhun Kutuner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Man United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After the first half Man United were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leif Helström to make the kick off. Andreas Åhlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tarhun Kutuner, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Norra Sandby FF's Andreas Åhlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarhun Kutuner in the 55th minute of play. Andreas Åhlberg made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Fabian Fredriksson sent off a good shot on target. Arne Ugla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leif Helström in the 63rd minute of the match. Rolf Ek was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 66 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Norra Sandby FF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! Robin Fagerberg shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Andreas Åhlberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fabian Fredriksson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 72 minute of play. Andreas Åhlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarhun Kutuner in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute of the match Man United got a corner. Norra Sandby FF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Robin Fagerberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kajetan Glogowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Man United's goal looked a bit too open when Leif Helström came free, but Arne Ugla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, Leif Helström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Arne Ugla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arne Ugla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kajetan Glogowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Man United's goal looked a bit too open when Leif Helström came free, but Arne Ugla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leif Helström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Arne Ugla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Man United were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Norra Sandby FF's much stronger midfield.
