In the 9th minute, Hannes Flink ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filip Alstedt was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Ragnar Norberg scored 2-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Inge Berg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Åke Caspersson in the 26th minute of play forced Mälaren's goalkeeper Inge Berg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ragnar Norberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Inge Berg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bertil Algren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Åstorp RK's Ragnar Norberg got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ragnar Norberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mälaren's Inge Berg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kåre Haeger in the 38th minute of play. If Ragnar Norberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ragnar Norberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inge Berg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Mälaren's goal looked a bit too open when Åke Caspersson came free, but Inge Berg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ragnar Norberg succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 45th playminute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bertil Algren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertil Algren in the 51st minute of play forced Åstorp RK's goalkeeper Filip Alstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Åstorp RK's Åke Caspersson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inge Berg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 56 minutes of play, Åstorp RK's Ragnar Norberg made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Inge Berg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kent Dalman kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Inge Berg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Caspersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Åke Caspersson in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inge Berg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89th match minute, Mälaren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pål Nyström to maneuver through the defense. Inge Berg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ragnar Norberg in the 91st minute of the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Åke Caspersson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åstorp RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Åke Caspersson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Åstorp RK booed when Mälaren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joakim Hagström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pål Nyström hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Ragnar Norberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Åstorp RK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
