The referee showed Rickard Lidström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th match minute, Davids FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinando Schirone to maneuver through the defense. Eric Berg came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Davids FC's Ferdinando Schirone. But to his dismay, Ferdinando Schirone quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 10th match minute, Davids FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Söderqvist to maneuver through the defense. Davids FC's Jesper Mellberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Davids FC from getting a goal against them. Eric Berg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinando Schirone in the 20th minute of play. After 30 minutes, Georg Bergsten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Davids FC and the Dinamo Helsingborg players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Davids FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Georg Bergsten hit a great ball. The supporters of Dinamo Helsingborg booed when Davids FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 53rd minute, Tony Sandström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dinamo Helsingborg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 56 minutes into the match, Dinamo Helsingborg's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Söderqvist came free, but Eric Berg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Dinamo Helsingborg booed when Davids FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tracey Acero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jesper Mellberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaj Lang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Åke Torsberg came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Dinamo Helsingborg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Åke Torsberg couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the game, Ivan Gustafsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dinamo Helsingborg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Davids FC the free kick. Eric Berg had in the 72ndth minute some difficulties stopping Rutger Cane's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 1-2 came in the 72nd minute when Rutger Cane all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Eric Berg. Fred Söderqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Eric Berg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesper Mellberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Hultin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tony Sandström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jesper Mellberg having to make a save. If Tony Sandström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaj Lang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jesper Mellberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dinamo Helsingborg's Kaj Lang got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chants of Davids FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Dinamo Helsingborg had held the ball for most of the match.
