Wahlsta SK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 8th minute, Edgar Bergfeldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the game, Claes Kämpe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jan Ekelund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 17 minutes into the match, The Wicks's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Åke Sjöö came free, but Isak Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, The Wicks's goal looked a bit too open when Åke Dalman came free, but Isak Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Wahlsta SK defense, Simon Nyström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Ekelund. The Wicks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wahlsta SK the free kick. In the 28th minute, Elof Samuelsson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and The Wicks's Isak Andersson didn't even have to move. 30 minutes into the game, Sven-Åke Sjöö recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Isak Andersson. Sven-Åke Sjöö showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The supporters of Wahlsta SK booed when The Wicks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Nyström didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, The Wicks's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Åke Sjöö came free, but Isak Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Simon Nyström notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Wahlsta SK's Jan Ekelund. Jan Ekelund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 43rd minute, Elof Samuelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Verner Tinglöv, 44 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Wahlsta SK getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Joaquim Matias hit a great ball. The Wahlsta SK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The Wicks were winning 1-3.

In the 51st minute Simon Nyström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Ekelund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Ekelund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Nyström in the 57th minute of the match. Wahlsta SK's Jan Ekelund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Nyström in the 64th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, The Wicks's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Åke Sjöö came free, but Isak Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Wahlsta SK's Jan Ekelund got control of the ball when Verner Tinglöv tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Wahlsta SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixten Runeberg to maneuver through the defense. Jan Ekelund made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Claes Kämpe sent off a good shot on target. 85 minutes into the match, The Wicks's goal looked a bit too open when Sixten Runeberg came free, but Isak Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Åke Sjöö kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. The Wicks's Roy Lövskog was substituted for Nils-Emil Täman. Sixten Runeberg scored 2-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isak Andersson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, The Wicks's Jan Ekelund threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Simon Nyström, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The The Wicks supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing The Wicks would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
