The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 15 minutes into the game, Sysslebäck's Joachim Wahlström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Josef Ekerot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Greger Möller could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Albin Öman made a huge save. If Carl Vacker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josef Ekerot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Åke Björkman in the 34th minute of the match. Josef Ekerot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Holger Kollberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lukas Stenqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lukas Stenqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes Yngsjö got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Stenqvist. In the 41st minute of the match Sysslebäck got a corner. Yngsjö's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ulf Haeger ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Ulf Haeger almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Yngsjö's Josef Ekerot did a great save. When Carl Vacker came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Yngsjö fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carl Vacker couldn't finish the play. In the 49th match minute, Sysslebäck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Holger Kollberg to maneuver through the defense. Arne Nordlander, 50 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.

In the 56th minute, Joachim Wahlström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Josef Ekerot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viggo Jakobsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Albin Öman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carl Vacker's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Josef Ekerot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Åke Björkman in the 64th minute of the match. Josef Ekerot made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Joachim Wahlström sent off a good shot on target. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sysslebäck's goalkeeper Albin Öman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joachim Wahlström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Josef Ekerot made a huge save. In the 88th minute, Holger Kollberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Josef Ekerot was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Per-Åke Björkman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Per-Åke Björkman really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. After having played for 98 minutes, Per-Åke Björkman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sysslebäck's supporters crossed their fingers, but Per-Åke Björkman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sysslebäck's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
