John Skager scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michael Gråberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the game, Ted Rönn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fizzy Fires's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Västerlanda the free kick. Ted Rönn hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Christian Wållander kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Christian Wållander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Västerlanda defense, Christian Wållander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Johan Norberg. The Västerlanda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Johan Norberg should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute, Jan-Erik Björklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Wennerström lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 47 minutes into the game, one of Fizzy Fires:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 1-2 came in the 50th minute when Hjalmar Sikström all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Michael Gråberg. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ian Ekeberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match, Evert Söderström got a very nice opportunity to score, but Michael Gråberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Evert Söderström received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Michael Gråberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Evert Söderström slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Ekeberg in the 60th minute of play forced Fizzy Fires's goalkeeper Michael Gråberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elias Alkvist fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 65th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. 71 minutes into the match, Fizzy Fires's goalkeeper Michael Gråberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leif Blomquist. Jan-Erik Björklund kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Elias Alkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Karl-Johan Norberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Holger Månsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Fizzy Fires's Michael Gråberg got control of the ball when Evert Söderström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fizzy Fires's Elias Alkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 89 minutes, Leif Blomquist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Västerlanda and the Fizzy Fires players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Västerlanda getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Leif Blomquist hit a great ball. If Ulf Sander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 92 minutes, Hjalmar Sikström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Västerlanda and the Fizzy Fires players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hjalmar Sikström kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Michael Gråberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Ekeberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Evert Söderström's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Michael Gråberg firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ulf Sander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Fizzy Fires supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Västerlanda's performance. The match ended with a win for Västerlanda.
