The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filip Hansson during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ture Enström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Sonny Sundström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Olof Ekström, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Östen Skröder hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute, Kaj Gernberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karl-Erik Lindholm charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karl-Erik Lindholm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Real Dadrid booed when Vengerberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Erik Lindholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ture Enström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Hansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Real Dadrid's Ture Enström got control of the ball when Daniel Brenner tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filip Hansson was the one to do the kick off. Aaron Alströmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Alex Soned fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vengerberg's protests and gave Alex Soned a yellow card for diving instead. Alex Soned kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Ture Enström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Hansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After having played for 96 minutes, Daniel Brenner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vengerberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Brenner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
