The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Storlien's Isaac Zander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Storlien from getting a goal against them. In the 11th minute of the match, Christoffer Henriksson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Isaac Zander was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Viktor Strömberg kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Charles Pålsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kristoffer Lidberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfred Fredriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 20 minutes, Charles Pålsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Storlien's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charles Pålsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Helge Samuelsson kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Charles Pålsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristoffer Lidberg. Lagan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Charles Pålsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a little luck, Storlien's Isaac Zander got control of the ball when Christoffer Henriksson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Storlien's goalkeeper Isaac Zander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christoffer Henriksson. If Manfred Fredriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Brogren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristoffer Lidberg having to interfere. Manfred Fredriksson succeeded in the game's 38th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Isaac Zander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo Siöberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Storlien were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bo Siöberg made a kick off. After 52nd play minutes Manfred Fredriksson shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Kristoffer Lidberg and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 64th minute, Torsten Grönberg had to leave the field with a concussion. Helge Samuelsson's late challenge caught a Storlien's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Helge Samuelsson helped the player get up and apologised. Storlien's Christer Bryngelsson was substituted for Torsten Grönberg. The supporters of Storlien booed when Lagan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Helge Samuelsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Charles Pålsson could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Kristoffer Lidberg however easily saved by the left post. Kristoffer Lidberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Charles Pålsson went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. 79 minutes into the match, Storlien's goal looked a bit too open when Christoffer Henriksson came free, but Isaac Zander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Storlien was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Nilsson to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Manfred Fredriksson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kristoffer Lidberg was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. A collision led to Lagan getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Mats Pilblad hit a great ball. When the match was over Storlien could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lagan throughout the match.
