Nils-Åke Vesterberg's late challenge caught a Yxlan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nils-Åke Vesterberg helped the player get up and apologised. 10 minutes into the match, Yxlan's goal looked a bit too open when Evert Rosin came free, but Gösta Hjortberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 17 played minutes Undrom FF got a freekick which was hit by Göran Isaksson. Yxlan's Kåre Wallmark got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Undrom FF's zone, Gilbert Jernberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Morgan Ahlroth came out of the goal and Gilbert Jernberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute Nils-Åke Vesterberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gösta Hjortberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Undrom FF booed when Yxlan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kåre Wallmark didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 35 played minutes, Undrom FF's Jimmy Bergström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gösta Hjortberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Undrom FF reached it. A collision led to Undrom FF getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Linus Näver hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert Rosin in the 42nd minute of play forced Yxlan's goalkeeper Gösta Hjortberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gösta Hjortberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert Rosin, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osvald Lekberg made a kick off. Nils-Åke Vesterberg got his second yellow card in the match during the 52nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Yxlan booed when Undrom FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Åke Vesterberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvald Lekberg hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Yxlan's Gösta Hjortberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evert Rosin in the 66th minute of play. Gösta Hjortberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Classon, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The supporters of Undrom FF booed when Yxlan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kåre Wallmark didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 80 played minutes Yxlan got a freekick which was hit by Osvald Lekberg. Morgan Ahlroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Oskar Ekström in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert Rosin in the 87th minute of play forced Yxlan's goalkeeper Gösta Hjortberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th match minute, Yxlan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kåre Wallmark to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute Evert Rosin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gösta Hjortberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Yxlan players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
