Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Per-Arne Söderman made the kick off which started today's match. After a defensive mix-up in Monsoon FC's zone, Måns Wiman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Notis Gay came out of the goal and Måns Wiman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nils Broberg's late challenge caught a Oxie's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nils Broberg helped the player get up and apologised. Nils Broberg hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Oxie's Fredrik Söderberg got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert Wästerberg in the 9th minute of play forced Oxie's goalkeeper Patrik Ekblom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monsoon FC's Notis Gay proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Monsoon FC from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Oxie's Notis Gay threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fredrik Söderberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Notis Gay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Vennerkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fredrik Söderberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute of the match Oxie got a corner. Monsoon FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Urban Olenberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hjalmar Söderman tried in the 19th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Notis Gay a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-0. The supporters of Oxie booed when Monsoon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evert Wästerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 27 minutes, Fredrik Söderberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oxie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredrik Söderberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Monsoon FC's Notis Gay got control of the ball when Fredrik Söderberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Notis Gay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fredrik Söderberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Patrik Ekblom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Arne Söderman in the 34th minute of the match. Oxie's Patrik Ekblom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evert Wästerberg in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute Evert Wästerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrik Ekblom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Oxie's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Arne Söderman came free, but Patrik Ekblom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fredrik Söderberg made a kick off. After 57 minutes, Olof Mårtensson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oxie and the Monsoon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th minute, Olof Mårtensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patrik Ekblom was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Oskar Lång. After having played for 61 minutes, Fredrik Söderberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oxie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredrik Söderberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Fredrik Söderberg came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Oxie fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fredrik Söderberg couldn't finish the play. Per-Oskar Vinström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Notis Gay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oxie's Fredrik Söderberg got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Egon Lundqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71stth minute of the game Fredrik Söderberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monsoon FC's Notis Gay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 78 played minutes Oxie got a freekick which was hit by Olof Mårtensson. 81 minutes into the match, Oxie's goalkeeper Patrik Ekblom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evert Wästerberg. After 83 minutes of play, Monsoon FC's Evert Wästerberg made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patrik Ekblom was left in no man's land by his defense there! Evert Wästerberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Patrik Ekblom made a huge save. If Urban Olenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Monsoon FC's Notis Gay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrik Söderberg in the 92nd minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Oxie players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
