In the 22nd minute Andreas Lind shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Söderman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ingemar Björkqvist fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rätan IFK's protests and gave Ingemar Björkqvist a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rätan IFK getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Torsten Hedbom charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torsten Hedbom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andreas Lind in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fredrik Söderman saved Rätan IFK from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Kjell Forsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hörnefors's Bengt-Rune Palmkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Hörnefors from getting a goal against them.
