Köpingebro IF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Lars-Erik Tingberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Ove Ahlquist in the 12th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Köpingebro IF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Young Brothers F.C a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Peder Nordmark, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Köpingebro IF's Kalle Ingvall. 0-2. Stig-Ove Ahlquist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lars-Erik Tingberg having to make a save. If Sebastian Hård had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig-Ove Ahlquist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lars-Erik Tingberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Stig-Ove Ahlquist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Young Brothers F.C were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stig-Ove Ahlquist to strike the kick off in the second half. But to his dismay, Stig-Ove Ahlquist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Stig-Ove Ahlquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars-Erik Tingberg having to interfere. Tomas Ahlrot took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kalle Ingvall. Kalle Ingvall dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. The Köpingebro IF manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Young Brothers F.C to win.
