Figeholm's Birger Bredberg got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bollstabruk's Kaj Sundström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birger Bredberg in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Bollstabruk's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Hedkvist came free, but Kaj Sundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute, Birger Bredberg made a precise shot to the right of Kaj Sundström. Bollstabruk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Kaj Sundström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robin Dalgren went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Dan Kuse charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dan Kuse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Bollstabruk getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Dan Kuse hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin Dalgren in the 16th minute of play forced Bollstabruk's goalkeeper Kaj Sundström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Pettersson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Gilbert Billberg made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yngve Odman in the 20th minute of play forced Bollstabruk's goalkeeper Kaj Sundström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Figeholm's Yngve Odman in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bollstabruk's goalie prevented a goal. In the 21stth minute of the game Nils Pettersson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bollstabruk's Kaj Sundström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gilbert Billberg made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Benjamin Pettersson sent off a good shot on target. Linus Frisck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kaj Sundström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Dalgren in the 34th minute of play. Gilbert Billberg stood somewhat misplaced when Linus Frisck came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 35 minute. In the 39th minute, Bo Hedkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kaj Sundström was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Kaj Sundström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Pettersson in the 43rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Figeholm's zone, Dan Kuse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilbert Billberg came out of the goal and Dan Kuse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin Pettersson to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Figeholm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Åkerberg to maneuver through the defense. After 54 played minutes Figeholm got a freekick which was hit by Ingvar Wennerberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Pettersson in the 56th minute of play forced Figeholm's goalkeeper Gilbert Billberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 minutes Figeholm's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Otto Hansson who took care of the corner kick. Otto Hansson made a great header on Bollstabruk's corner, it was just that Figeholm's Gilbert Billberg managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 62nd minute, one of Figeholm:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Figeholm. Gösta Olsson's late challenge caught a Figeholm's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gösta Olsson helped the player get up and apologised. Yngve Odman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kaj Sundström came out and tried to block the shot, but Yngve Odman slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 69th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Birger Bredberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Kaj Sundström however easily saved by the left post. Kaj Sundström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bo Hedkvist in the 75th minute. After 75 minutes of play Bollstabruk's Gösta Olsson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Figeholm booed when Bollstabruk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gösta Olsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nils Pettersson got free with Kaj Sundström in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ingvar Wennerberg during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 80th minute, Ingvar Wennerberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilbert Billberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reine Söderman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the game, Birger Bredberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kaj Sundström. Birger Bredberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-6. Nils Pettersson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Kaj Sundström made a huge save. In the 92nd minute, Figeholm's Bo Hedkvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kaj Sundström. Kaj Sundström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-7. Kaj Sundström made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Nils Pettersson sent off a good shot on target. Kaj Sundström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bo Hedkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute.
