In the 18th minute David Högman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Helberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Verner Utter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skärplinge's supporters rose to their feet, but Verner Utter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henric Vase breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Vilhelm Sjöberg was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind H's goalkeeper Henric Vase, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Per-Oskar Kullander hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Skärplinge were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after H's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Valdemar Gallberg took the corner. Skärplinge's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valdemar Gallberg in the 93rd minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of H's goalie and right to Edward Strandberg. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. H's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Kennet Bergström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Skärplinge were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
