Börge Sandberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fredric Björklund went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 11 minutes into the match, Pelle Strömberg notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Tjörnarp IFK's Tomas Giliusson. Tomas Giliusson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 19 minutes into the match, Tjörnarp IFK's goalkeeper Tomas Giliusson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sten Brodin. Börge Sandberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krister Tingelholm, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredric Björklund in the 28th minute of play forced Dynamo Solna's goalkeeper Börge Sandberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Dynamo Solna defense, Vincent Berglund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Börge Sandberg. The Dynamo Solna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Börge Sandberg should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Tjörnarp IFK's zone, Bernt Askstedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomas Giliusson came out of the goal and Bernt Askstedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Dynamo Solna's Bernt Askstedt in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Bernt Askstedt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tomas Giliusson having to make a save. Dynamo Solna's Börge Sandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent Berglund in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Fredric Björklund made a precise shot to the right of Börge Sandberg. Dynamo Solna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernt Askstedt to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Pelle Strömberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dynamo Solna's supporters rose to their feet, but Pelle Strömberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Giliusson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 63 minutes into the match, Dynamo Solna's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Berglund came free, but Börge Sandberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Giliusson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pelle Strömberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Berglund in the 82nd minute of play forced Dynamo Solna's goalkeeper Börge Sandberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Pelle Strömberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomas Giliusson was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Börge Sandberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tjörnarp IFK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
