After 8 played minutes, Lavsjön's Tor Holmgren shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roy Lindholm came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lavsjön reached it. Sven-Åke Brun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Harry Ekeberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harry Ekeberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Di Maio in the 15th minute. Sven-Åke Brun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Tor Holmgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hannes Benet might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Harry Ekeberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lavsjön's supporters rose to their feet, but Gösta Ek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roy Lindholm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48thth minute of the game Antonio Di Maio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lavsjön's Harry Ekeberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kalle Eliasson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Antonio Di Maio struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Harry Ekeberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IRAQ.FF. Kalle Rosendahl hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. IRAQ.FF's Antonio Di Maio got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 68 minutes, Sven-Åke Brun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IRAQ.FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Åke Brun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Albert Jonasson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Roy Lindholm, 0-1. Sven-Åke Brun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute, Sven-Åke Brun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lavsjön were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over IRAQ.FF's much stronger midfield.
