An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Asklöv in the 15th minute of play forced Syrianska FC's goalkeeper Ronny Lundberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Sebastian Asklöv cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. In the 27th match minute, Färila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Asklöv to maneuver through the defense. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Syrianska FC's Mats Wennerberg in the 31st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Bertil Jansson was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Färila through an amazing save. Börje Zander's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bertil Jansson firmly grabbed it by the left post. Pelle Klemensson charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Asklöv got free with Ronny Lundberg in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Syrianska FC booed when Färila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arvid Lidman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Börje Zander in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bertil Jansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chants of Färila echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Syrianska FC had held the ball for most of the match.
